Lolo Planning Begins

This year, Lolo National Forest is launching its forest management plan revision process. This plan will guide land use and development decisions for decades to come, and it covers a range of topics including:

  • Recommended wilderness to safeguard the region's wild character;

  • Wild and scenic river eligibility to protect healthy fisheries;

  • Backcountry areas to improve local recreational opportunities; and,

  • Key linkage areas to maintain wildlife habitat connectivity.

Our staff plan to work closely with the Forest Service throughout the planning process, but we can’t do this work alone. We need our members to show up and speak up for the Burn!

We hope you will join us at the planning events listed below. For more up-to-date news and information, you can also sign up for Lolo National Forest's planning email list here.
